I'm a craftsman and an artisan. I have, over the years, worked with leather, plastic, cloth, paper and metal. But I always come back to wood. There's something about handling wood that's, well... soothing is probably the word that best describes it. Just a few minutes spent shaping or finishing a piece of wood for a project will help me forget about the day's stress and problems. You can stop at the bar after work if you want, I'll sit at my scrollsaw.
I did, however, say that I am an artisan. I'm not an artist. Most of the projects that you see here came from pattern books. I put the title of the book and the author in the description. For more projects, ones for which I didn't have a pattern, check the "Metroparks Volunteer" page.
In the past I rented space in gift shops to display and sell the items that I had made. Because of the difficulties involved with woodworking in a confined area (a one bedroom apartment), I've temporarily stopped offering my craftwork for sale. I added pictures of my booth in one of the shops to show some of the other things I've done.
